Her generous gifts are particularly evident in her flair for capturing dramatic natural beauty, as well as a strain of black humor that taunts convention and an emotional depth that is fearless in exploring both the light and shadows of her subjects.

Vera’s stunning paintings have been featured in New York galleries and restaurants, and her artwork for the cover of Seven Nations' album "Big Dog" was published as a limited-edition print.  Her costume and set designs for avant-garde theatre, in productions at La Mama among other venues, were recognized as “a sumptuous delight” by The New York Times.
